But since that might not be possible, I think my blog would be a good platform for us to get to know each other, and maybe just maybe become friends, meet in person & work together! Wouldn’t that be great?
Well, I’ve been meaning to blog for a long time now, but there was always something happening & I kept procrastinating! That’s why I joined Alex Beadon’s “Feel Good Blogging Challenge” hoping it will inspire me to get started!
Today, I would like to share a bit more about myself, why I am starting this blog & to whom I’m writing…..so let’s get jiggy with it!
The girl behind the camera:
Before taking the plunge & becoming a full time photographer in 2013, I worked as an Architect for 10 years while doing photography on the side, but I was always itching to do more with it!
After 5 years of shooting, designing & creating my own products I didn’t want it to be just a sidekick, I knew I had a great talent & an amazing eye for it, but I struggled with my decision for few more years, till it was the right time for me!
Today I couldn’t be happier with my decision, I work with other creatives, entrepreneurs & small business owners styling & shooting products & creating beautiful product & food photography. And though you can take the girl out of Architecture, you can’t take Architecture out of the girl, it influences the way I see the world, my attention to details yet the ability to see the bigger picture. My design background helped me become a better photographer & visual content creator shaping my unique style & delivering a comprehensive service to my clients.
Why Blogging:
Second to styling & shooting I really get excited teaching others.
When I first started photography I struggled a lot with my camera, all the technical jargon scared me, I was afraid of that little black box! I saw things differently but my camera wouldn’t do it, and I know there are many of you out there who feel just the same way, so I would like to share my experience & help you become friends with your camera, see things more creatively & start making great pictures with your phone, DSLR, point & shoot…whatever camera is on you! I have been doing it for 10 years now, and it’s just amazing when you are able to bridge the gap between what your eyes see and what your camera is capturing!
I will be sharing my photography tips & tricks, behind the scenes, challenges & snippets of my everyday life hoping it will engage, inspire & entertain you!
